i havent been updating for some time now... school is much better now.. english and chinese is still boring though...
its
one week and two days to CNY!!!
oops i meantwo weeks and two days to CNY!!!!!!!!i dont know why i keep thinking its one week...
some stuff which happened since i last updated:
-i lost my brown-with-
pink-spots water bottle. It's my mistake, but Fedex Ad's fault. I was too busy laughing that i didnt check my seat before I go..
-I saw the thaipusam procession twice today. for once, i wished was late today. then, i would be able to witness the procession close-up T.T
-On my way to school yesterday, I saw a young primary sch boy walking towards the bus stop (more of hurrying though). He told his mum : "Mummy, we'd better hurry, if not we'll miss the 7.10 bus." Such responsibility, and at such a young age! I am amazed..
- I was scolded by Bus 166 driver last friday morning. We chased after the bus when we saw it.( i wanted to be early, for once in days) The bus had to slow down, so that we'll reach the bus stop in time. when i was digging for my wallet on the bus, the bus driver told me,in chinese," Next time, please go off 5 minutes earlier!" He was loud, so all the people in front actually witnessed this incident. very embarrasing.
-On friday, after guides, i waited 30 mins for 48. When it finally came, it was too full and i couldnt board. I was hungry, craving for luo mai kai and tired.. what a nightmare..
New year in Jkt is really diff from Singapore. The fireworks were all around Jkt, not at Monas and Ancol only. (people can let off fireworks from their homes, that's why)The sky was a panorama of fireworks. They're really beautiful. Especially the ones let off by the hotels in Sudirman. It's a pity that we can't see the one sponsored by the government let off from Monas. My mom said that they actually let off fireworks once at 10pm, once at 11pm and once at 12midnight. The 12midnight one would last for 15mins! ( or is it 30? hmmm) It's a pity we cant let off fireworks from our homes here...
* Monas, which stands for
Monumen Nasional,is a 137 m tall tower in Central Jakarta symbolizing the fight for Indonesia's Independence. It looks kinda like a candle. The 14.5 tonnes bronze 'flame' is plated with 35 kg of gold. We can take a lift to the terrace at the top, and get a 360 degrees view of Jkt. I still remember how my head got stuck between the grills gates there.( i was too excited when my dad pointed out where our house was,and stuck out my head.. i had a hard time getting my head out.lol.)

this is monas by day. On New Year eve, the was a countdown concert held there. It is also a popular picnic place. I used to rollerblade there on Sunday mornings :D
zhu2, see, i updated.. even though the bottom part is kinda random lah.lol
